- Agency is funded to administer Child Care Assistance Program in 22 Counties in Central KY
- Agency assists in developing Child Care Fund (Motor Vehicle Registration) in Fayette County
- Agency is funded to administer KIDS NOW Initiatives
- Agency coordinates and helps implement Community Early Childhood Councils in all counties served
- Agency contracts with UK-HDI to administer Child Care Resource and Referral Services in 17 Counties
- Agency begins grassroots awareness campaign KIDS MATTER™
- Agency develops ROOM TO GROW (donation by ABC Childcraft)
- Agency is Nationally Quality Assured by Child Care Aware

Looking Back and Moving Forward -
Under the early leadership of Carolyn Covington (1986 - 2003), the CCC grew from a staff of 2-3 to a staff of over 50 that provided services to hundreds of families each year. Continuing to grow under the direction of Bradley Stevenson, the CCC provides services to thousands of families, children and providers each year. |
